Mokhai mel mokhai…

     Mokhai medu mokhai vandhu ennai serum…it has been a total mokhai day for me. There is an ice cream shop at my street end and this shop is a franchise of the local amritha ice creams. For the past one week or so they have put up a banner for a new offer “buy one take two”. They usually put up buy one get one free during summer and even though they increase the price by one and half times I occasionally buy from that shop. I thought that I should go and buy it before the offer ends but somehow or the other I never found time. But yesterday night while I was returning home I enquired at the shop and he said that the offer is available only with Rs.22 cup ice creams and although three 120ml cups for that price was a little worthy I didn’t feel any urge and I returned.

     Today as I was getting another mokhai, I was standing in front of that shop again. I was supposed to take a special bus to a college culturals which was supposed to come at 10:30 and as a precautionary measure I started well in advance and also walked for 5 minutes and went to the previous bus stop as it is a main junction but after waiting for about half an hour I gave up hopes and thought of going back home. I walked in the same route of the bus and found that two others were waiting for the same bus at the stop near my home. This point is the point in front of that shop. After 5 minutes one of the boys left and after sometime I asked the boy who was messaging something with his cell phone and he said “I think buses are delayed” and another five minutes later he said “I think buses are cancelled…” Ada paavi… naan nai madhiri oru mani nerama elladha busku veyila ninnu mokhai vanginadu than micham!!!  

     I thought of returning home but thought that I should at least get the ice creams so that I can eat three 120ml cup ice creams when I reach home. I asked the shopkeeper “that buy one get two free offer how much is the starting range”. He said “it’s not like that, you buy one ice cream you will get one and thereby you can take home two ice creams”. Idha voyunga buy one get one free podalamla adhu enna buy one take two!!!
All the bad words were standing at the tip of my tongue but I drank premature wine i.e. grape juice and returned home.

     As soon as I reached home I switched on the TV to see the score and there Kaif was putting mokhai scoring 10 runs from 51 balls. I switched off the TV and logged on to the computer and now it’s my turn!!!
       
P.S:  For those of you who don’t know what mokhai is, it is a Tamil slang for doing stupid, silly things…
