Today my name was published in Chennai’s most fauvorite, popular and adored newspaper THE HINDU. Though only 41/2 lines of what I have said has been in print I am feeling happy for to the best of my knowledge this is the first time anything what I have written is getting printed in this coveted tabloid. Rarely days open for me without THE HINDU and ten days before I saw this topic...

Today I donated blood for the first time in my life and am feeling good, proud… that I have done something productive. A few of the priceless things being done by my college is organizing this annual blood donation camp. It was all decided and we were informed a long way back and I decided to donate as last time it turned out futile because of my dilemma and also that I didn’t complete 18 years of age then.
But...

My endeavor for becoming an engineer took a leap from its snail pace with the results of the third semester being announced yesterday (oops..! today, if I m correct it came around 00:30 hours) and I have cleared all papers in style also securing a good percentage. The results were expected a month before but there was a hiatus and rumours were spreading day after day. Finally the date was confirmed by a private...

The Computer Society of India or in short known as the CSI is a marvelous organisation for the promotion of …..(I don’t know!!!) But I am a proud student member of this society. I am totally crestfallen because my team lost in an ad-zap competition today. I am not in a position to console myself saying “Come on!! Failure is the stepping stone for success”. It was very saddening to see all the murky faces of my friends this evening. We have lost a lot in the past but this was definitely different. The college we went today was not of great eminence but they offered grandiose money...

Holidays on Saturdays have been sporadic over the past and also at present were completely withdrawn due the university’s recommendations. This weekend all the inmates of the jail (Oops!! Did i…) a.k.a my college were left on a conditional bail with due summons pending on Monday morning. So, I decided to spend some time watching the television but this idiot box drew a lot of my time (rest of the day…)...

Have you ever had the opportunity or have you ever sat in an almost empty auditorium. I had this bizarre experience today when only a few people who had turned up earlier for a quiz show were there inside the theatre. Due to some reasons the show was tardy by almost an hour and so the few junta who were inside (hardly 10 people) were sitting in groups conversing and I sat in an empty row with a tabloid in hand...

Saarang, saarang, saarang!!! This has been the talk of the town for the past week and as everything which begins must end Saarang let down the curtains for the year 2006 with the hype, junta (IIT slang for people…), sponsors and entertainment skyrocketing year by year. After a lot of voices striking my eardrums repeatedly (machan! lots of events and lots of figures…), I decided to spend my weekend...
